A description of a brand new species of wasp, Hyptiogaster arafura!

LEGS PhD student Ben Parslow’s work on Gasteruptiid wasps has  uncovered a new species, named for the locality of its discovery. It is the first species of the endemic Australian genus to be found in the Northern Territory, and has a unique yellow-brown coloration with an elongated proplueron (neck).
